By Car:
From the M1:
- Exit at junction 6A (the M25 junction) and follow the signs to the M25 (East), towards Dartford and South Mimms.
- Once on the M25, exit at junctions 23, towards South Mimms Services.
- From here, get onto the A1(M) North towards Hatfield.
- From here, follow the directions from the A1(M), listed below.
From the M25:
- Exit at junction 23 (for South Mimms Services).
- Follow the A1(M) North to junction 4 and follow the directions from the A1(M), listed below.
From the A1(M):
- Exit at junction 4 and follow the signs towards Stanborough.
- Once on the A6129, continue all the way down until you reach the roundabout.
- Turn right at this roundabout towards Welwyn Garden City.
- You will pass the County Police Headquarters on your right. Continue going straight up and go straight over the roundabout (2nd exit).
- You will pass Gosling Sports Park on your right-hand side. Continue going straight up, you will pass a petrol station on your left.
- At the next roundabout, turn right (2nd exit), and at the next roundabout turn right (3rd exit) towards the QEII hospital.
- Take the immediate 1st left down Woodhall Lane.
- Continue all the way down Woodhall Lane until you reach a T-junction.
- Turn Left and go straight over the 1st mini-roundabout, and then straight over the 2nd (3rd exit).
- Take the 1st right turn, which is indicated by the brown tourist sign which takes you into Homestead Lane.
- The hotel is on the left-hand side.
From the Town Centre:
- At the Campus roundabout (near John Lewis) take the exit opposite John Lewis, so that you are passing Waitrose on your left-hand side.
- Go over the railway bridge.
- Go straight over the traffic lights up to 2 mini-roundabouts.
- Go straight over the 1st one, then right at the 2nd one.
- Take the 1st left, which is Ludwick Way.
- Go straight over the 1st roundabout and then left at the 2nd one.
- Then take the 1st right into Homestead Lane, which is indicated by the brown tourist sign.
- The hotel is on the left-hand side.
By Air:
Taxis are readily available from both Luton Airport (24 km/15 miles) and Stansted Airport (45 km/28 miles).
By Rail:
The station at Welwyn Garden City is just 4.8 km (3 miles) away.
